Some members informed us they were unable to access our website using Internet Explorer and Safari. We looked into the issue and found that due to an update in the security settings, some versions of Internet Explorer are not able to load the website. When you make the changes below on your settings, this will increase the security of all websites that you visit on Internet Explorer, not just 1st Ed’s website.
If you are using Safari:
1)While viewing the error messages when trying to access the site, press Command+R twice to refresh the page and clear your cache.
If you are using Internet Explorer:
1) Select “Tools” > “Internet Options”.
NOTE: Depending on your IE settings, the “Tools” menu may be a gear icon in the upper right hand corner.
2) Go to the “Advanced” tab.
3) Scroll down to the “Security” section.
4) Locate and check “Use TLS 1.0”.
If your browser has additional TLS options, such as TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2, these should also be selected.
5) Then, press the “OK” button.
This should fix the issue for all users. Please let us know if you continue to have issues after you complete this change.
