CareerTech Student Branch

1st Ed Credit Union partnered with CareerTech in opening the CareerTech Student Branch on March 7, 2017. The student-run branch is located inside CareerTech for students and school employees at the CareerTech and Chambersburg Magnet School to access their 1st Ed Credit Union accounts and perform deposits and withdrawals during branch hours.

Students from the Marketing/Web Design Program will conduct branch transactions and help create marketing/promotional campaigns with guidance from their instructor and credit union personnel. In addition to gaining work experience from running the student branch, the students will also obtain a better understanding of their own finances.  This, in turn, will help them encourage other students to develop good financial habits and gain practical money skills.

The Student Branch will only be accessible to students and employees of CareerTech and Chambersburg Magnet School during the school year.
